Happy Turkey Day 2008

We made yummy (just ask the kids and Dave, they loved them!) red velvet cupcakes that were intended to look like Turkeys. This was the dessert for our Thanksgiving Dinner! More about our yummy not so traditional dinner later!

Yes, they are still in their PJ's but it's a day off and my girls have already learned to take full advantage of not having to wake up and get ready!

Watch out Sprinkle's Cupcakes - Jamie and Camryn are in town! Don't they just look too good to eat? A pound of candy should only make them taste better!

Here Jamie is holding the delicious masterpieces created by her and her sisters! Yes, she's changed out of her PJ's and now she's in dress-up clothes!

Here's B holding the cupcakes that we served to our friends! I think they turned out sorta cute! I was supposed to use more frosting to create a neck and give the cupcakes a 3D look but I hate frosting and couldn't bring myself to add more of the stuff!
Payne Family 2008 Thanksgiving Day Menu (Dave thinks it might be important to know someday what we ate!) This was our second year cooking Baby Back ribs and our 4th year boycotting the traditional turkey dinner
* BBQ BABY BACK RIBS
* Prime Rib (so yummy, thanks Brett!)
* Rhode's Rolls, can't beat how easy and delicious they are
* Spinach Artichoke Dip with pita chips and crackers
* Red Velvet Cupcakes with chocolate frosting
*Chocolate chip and cherry chip cookie pie
So not very traditional but way yummy! I didn't even think about the stuffing as I was eating the delicious melt-in-your-mouth meat selections that were provided! I must admit however, it was too much meat for me and not enough carbs!

HAIR CUT TIME!

Jamie got a hair cut, we curled it, I thought it was cute, so why not blog it... right?

Paci's have been mailed off to Paci Princess!

She couldn't have been more happy to mail them off! If she only knew, poor little thing!

Putting them in the envelope -

B is showing off her fun new replacement... make-up, it truly in the next best thing to a paci according to her! This set is so perfect for her, it even has a blow dryer that makes a great sound a blows out air. This morning she told Camryn, "hurry Camen I do you are hair real fast, come fast". After the hair blow dry B put make-up and nail polish on Camryn and told her that she was "so pretty!"

Tinkerbell P A R T Y !

While Dave was gone last week the girls and I had a Tinkerbell party! All the movie snacks were green or came in green wrappers, and the white chocolate pretzel sticks were sprinkled with green sprinkles and were "Tinkerbell Wands". The girls enjoyed eating the snacks and had a blast playing with the green balloons but the movie was only a hit for about 20 minutes!
